Question B16 XSi Swap??

I was looking around and the 92-95 Civic SiR II's came with thee old B16a2. But also the 92-93 Integra XSi came with the same motor. (Both ~170 HP)

I was wondering, could I order a swap for the XSi, but successfully swap it into my 92 Civic? Would any of the axles, half-shaft, shift-linkage or anything be a hinderance? I believe that both cars are OBD1 so that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for your help.

Re: B16 XSi Swap??

The motor will fit, and plug right in, as will the PR3 ECU (I have that right now)

But the tranny is still the cable clutch one. You will need hydro.

Re: B16 XSi Swap??

There is a hydro tranny version of the motor, I know a guy who got one from Osaka (of course it was dirty as hell).

Re: B16 XSi Swap??

just make sure you get a hydro tranny because your 92 civic is a hydro car

Re: B16 XSi Swap??

Yeah but the whole swap comes with a cable tranny, or he'd have to spend $550 more to get the SiR2 complete swap so he'd have the hydro tranny.
