Sirius Blown Radio Fuse

I just recently had help from my brother-in-law to install my satillite radio from Sirius into my '96 Volks. Golf. It worked well on a couple long trips and then one day I went out to my car and the radio fuse was blown.

It's since been replaced, but I'm concerned that this will be a reoccuring problem. I'm not very car savvy and wanted to see if there would be some kind of preventitive step I could take so I'm not worrying about constantly blowing my radio fuse.

Re: Sirius Blown Radio Fuse

There should be a sticker on the unit specifying how many Amps it draws, what size fuse did it blow?
