96 ZR2 probs w/4hi

It just snowed here in Raleigh and I needed 4 wheel to get out of my house. It worked fine on the way out, but on the way back home it won't go into 4 hi. I ended up using 4 low just to get up any icy hill. I have an automatic transfer case and when I press the 4 hi button nothing happens. If I stop and put it in low and then press hi both buttons flash and it just goes back into 2. Any ideas on whats wrong?

please do a search in the blazer forum for 4x4. The search feature is on the blazer main page at the top right. The topic has been covered numerous times and within each thing you find please try. If you still can't figure it out than post back here.
