I need help fast please!!tiffeni 01-19-2005, 01:49 PM I have a 96 dodge neon. Monday morning I went outside to start it and it would not start. It turns over like it is going to start but doesn't. I even tried to jump it and it would not start. Does anyone know what the problem could be? If this helps it was 15 degrees that morning. mxracer111 01-19-2005, 11:10 PM possible water in fuel line and froze, if possible get an extra spark plug and check for spark, motor needs 3 things to run, spark, fuel and air. timming is also in there with spark, hope this helps keep us posted autoenthus3 01-24-2005, 10:52 AM i have a neon and it does the same thing. try to continue turning it over for about 30 seconds.... sometimes if it is frozen it will heat up enough and start... oh and btw if the motor is turning over jumping it wont do anything. NJH_Habitatpro 02-14-2005, 11:35 AM There is a ground wire connecting right there almost were the hood latch is. its on the right side if you are looking into the engine bay. It is right there above the fans. But Check that and tighten it down then try to turn it over hope that fixes it. Chud298 02-16-2005, 10:45 AM Might want to see if you're battery is charging. If it's not it might be an altenator. Get it checked at a dealership FORDTRACMAN 03-06-2005, 07:09 AM Cranking more than 15 seconds at a time without letting starter cool will surely hit your pocket book.Starters have a tough job, give them a break. Chud298 03-06-2005, 09:15 PM If it countiues to do it, it might be the altanator. But also hitting your car up with dry gas may help. If your fuel line freezes up obviously it won't start skatendestroy 03-06-2005, 09:29 PM well lets just start off with the basic first... are you getting a check engine light?
