help please!!!!!!!!!1 I just replaced my intake manifold gasket I did every thing by the book . Haynes that is. I have drivin the car about 20 miles after doing this and it runs fine but i noticed that tit was running warmewr then it did before but i figured it was because i replaced the thermostat. well this morning it started running warmer so i decided to turn around but by then it was getting even hotter so i had to pull off let it cool down then go a little further until i got home. i have noticed 2 things 1 my fans never came on . this i think is a broken wire .everything test fine but i still have no fans so i'm tracing that back. 2 i have bubbles coming up in the radiator . looks like a head gasket but i'm not sure . any help will be greatly appreciated.

Most likely you have an air pocket in the cooling system.
Let the engine cool down, open the bleed screws and fill the system. close the screws, turn on the heater and start the engine.Watch the temp guage and see if you are getting hot air from the heater. If the heater is cold and the temp is hot, shut off the engine and allow it to cool down again..repeat until you get heat from the heater.

well i did open the bleed screws and let the water run until it come out the screw holes then i cranked the car cut on heater at first i got cold air then after letting air out the bleed screws several times i started getting warm air but after awhile it got cold again then it would get warm back and fourth several times. i have done this procedure several times and it still runs hot and it still has air bubbles coming out the bleed screws. could this be exhaust getting in the coolent system? all the help i can get with be great.

Is there more than one Haynes manual for the 2000 Venture van? I see alot of replys mentioning the Haynes manual and I am going to get one, but wanted to make sure we are talking about the same one.

I'm not sure if another printing has been made to cover later models. The one I own covers 1997-2002. I bought mine cheap online through www.overstock.com there are other sites where you can pay much less than the MSRP of around $17.95, some being amazon.com ,eBay.com and other book sellers online. I think the one I have would sufficiently cover the info needed for your 2000 model year.

turns out it was a blown head gasket. i have a buddy that had the proper tool to test for exhaust fumes in my radiator and sure enough it ha blown a head gasket. he feels that after fixing the intake leak it i blow the head gasket. what luck but now i can sya that i can tear down a venture motor with very little difficulty. my dad just bought a venture so iguess i'll be doing his next since i did the practice run on mine.
