Nope, I haven't heard a thing. I hope they don't change it, I want a R32 GT-R and I don't want a punk down the street to have a R33 or R34 that's cooler than my car.

I wish America would at least drop it to 15 years... 25 years is a bit extensive if you ask me.

Yeah I wish America would drop the law t o15 years too. That almost makes me want to move to Canada. Maybe there will be a change with in the next 5 to 6 years. Doudt it. In two more years I would be able to get the 92 Toyota Mark II Tourer V I wanted. If I lived in Canada. But unfortunately I have to wait 12 more years here in the U.S.

Im just waiting patiently... The problem is going to be finding a Skyline in nice enough condition, for a price you can afford.

For a car, 25 years old, is old. And it will be somewhat more difficult to find parts and such... But oh well, Im looking forward to it :D

i have a general question, is the skyline an ILLEGAL car in the states, i live in miami, and when me and my boys ride, we have 2 skylines rollin with us umong other cars and it seems the law makes no notice to us, not untill midnight atleast..

Yeah i feel for you guys in the states, unless you have alot of cash for the proper mods for DOT approval you gotta wait till 2014 to be able to bypass that and thats for a R32.

you can get any car in north america that you want. Its just a matter of bringing it up to spec. I have built a kit car from the U.K. and it had to be approved for street use.(its a copy of the super seven) All I needed was some bumpers and different tail lights.

Its the same for the skyline. There is a place in Ottawa that imports them! Since the laws reguarding speed are different the car needs to be de-tuned, if you will. Other then that the car is legal.

Oh and one last thing I hope you have about 10k per year for insurance too.

When I was talking earlier in this fourm I was not talking about street use. You can import any car you want but you have to pay and pay and pay. My old college roomate came here from England and brought his cossie with him. He probally could have bought and evo 8 with the money he spent.

Dude I ask him that almost everyday. He will drive that car till it dies and when it dies its getting turned into a rally car.
