i've been toying with the idea of new wheels and tires. i'd like them to stick a bit further out than the original 15" wheels on my 96 ex sedan. does anyone know the offset of the stock wheel? Any recommendations for wheels and photos would be great. I was thinking along the lines of 17" but all suggestions are welcome. the car is black btw.

well it depends on what style you want. i wanted the koenig tantrums, but in the end desided to go with 17" td motorsport's. a nice feature they have is the option of many different color graphics. im desiding between a couple blue ones, not sure which i want to get yet.

also, with bigger rims, youre not going to be able to offset much if at all. even now, if i lowered my car any more it would hit. and with a camber kit, it will bring the top out even more.

Well I figured that the rims being wider alone would push them further out, but i was just trying to visualize how far by comparing the stock rim offset to any wheels i was looking at. Those are pretty nice. What size tires are you planning on using? I've noticed lots of people use 205/40 with 17" rims, but that is actually smaller than the outside diameter of the stock tires. 205/45-17 would actually be closer to the same size. Is this because they plan on or have lowered the car? I'm not sure i want to do that. afraid of getting it too bouncy or more likely scraping the bottom of the car on the drive way (big dip in front of my apt).

that pic IS of my car, so im not planning on a size theyre 215/45/17. yea i notice that alot of people get the 205/40's. it could be cause they wont hit the fender well, or they are also cheaper. im not sure if its cause my rims are lighter weight rims meant more for racing(since team dynamics makes racing wheels). but when i ordered them the shop guy told me that i should get thicker tires.

i originally ordered 205/40's, but at that time i was planning on getting a civic. when i called back and told them i was getting an accord, they said i should get the 215/45's for rim safety reasons, and since the car was alot heavier. but im not 100% sure on the facts. all i know is that nobody has rims like mine where i live. everyone has the cheap sets you get at the wheel discount center or places like that. and im sure those are alot heavier, so they can handle hard bumps with thin tires.
