Eh . . . I just buy whatever Walmart or Sears has on sale, usually Guardian or Road Handler. They're cheap, and they last me a year or so per set.

Re: 215 70 15 Tires, best ones for Minivans

I have had Kelly, Michelin & Cooper on my GC over the past 203,000 miles - no problems at all. The Kelly's lasted longest at about 60,000 miles. Also, the stock size for my GC is 215 65 16, a "special" size I couldn't get in stores until a couple of years ago - don't know if this matters, but it is different from the size you mentioned.

Apparently, the "touring" wheels that came stock on my GC were slightly lower profile and demanded 65's, not the 70's you mentioned - the only place I could buy them for a few years after I bought my GC was at the dealership.

Right now, I'm running Kelly Explorer 225 65 16's and they're great tires. They have held up well, especially considering I've towed a 2900lb Coleman pop-up trailer a couple of thousand miles over the past (nearly) two years.

Thanks HH, if I run into some Kellys I'll certainly feel confident with them. BTW has anyone had luck with the cheap Goodyear tires Wallmart sells. tx aw
