Trans shifting ?Dobbskel 01-12-2005, 02:55 PM Could anyone tell me if it is possible that I have a bad sensor verses a bad trans? Trans has always been serviced, and car has just over 90,000 miles. It does not seem to slip, but rather just completly disingage every so often. Most of time after I have been at highway speeds then slow down. If I take it out of Over Drive it seems to do better. LittleGSEclipse 01-12-2005, 03:15 PM Its a strong possibility that you could have a bad sensor. A buddy of mine had the same problem. He was told may times that he needed a new tranny. The problem got better if he stopped and turned the car off then turned it back on. Thats the main reason I knew it was a sensor and not the tranny. He then found out that he had a bad sensor on his tranny. Dobbskel 01-13-2005, 09:58 AM That is the same as I was thinking. Do to I just had a bad battery, totally dead and was running off of the alternator. This caused other shifting problems when I turned on any accessorys. Thanks much for your reply.
