How do you get rid of rust on chrome? I have a chrome grille/brush guard and I would like to remove the ugly rust forming in two spots.

they make some chrome polishes with rust remover which work quite nicely if the rust isnt too bad. Also use like #0000 steel wool to help work it out. that shouldnt scratch it.

Take some corn starch, sprinkle it on your chrome and then take a sliced lemon and go over it. Safer than steel wool and works great.

If, after a few attempts, the rust won't budge then try some steel wool.

You want chrome to really jump out at you, put on NuFinish, it protects the chrome and removes surface rust.

I use turtle wax chrome polish and rust remover, works great unless the rust is really deep

Lemon, or better yet, citrus juice in general, is acidic and is a great cleaner. The corn starch acts as a mild abrasive.

It works well and should work on your problem, unless it's really bad rust.
