Need help quick, (airbrushing)ATMDC 01-12-2005, 01:23 AM ok guys heres the deal, i have used an airbrush before with normal paints in a class b4, but i have to paint a spot on my dads bike and all he has is the factory bottle of touch up paint, now what i need to know is how do i use it for airbrushing? (detailed explanation would be very helpful) i believe its an acrylic paint because it sayas acrylic resin in the ingrediants of the back. any help would be very greatly appriciated, thanks! ATMDC 01-12-2005, 07:27 PM sorry for bumping so quickly but this is important RallyRaider 01-12-2005, 07:34 PM I guess - thin, load up the 'brush and spray. :) Just need to find the right thinner, try automotive lacquer thinner. Also, you might get more responses if you write clearly. If people can't understand - they can't help. freakray 01-12-2005, 07:38 PM 1. Test the thinner on a small spot of paint first in a teaspoon or something, this will tell you if auto thinner is the right one, although it likely is. 2. Please don't bump threads, it's rude. 3. You'd probably get a better response if you'd asked this in the right forum, I'll move it for you. GTmike400 01-12-2005, 08:44 PM Every paint is different. A lot have there own certain reducers. Call the company that provides the touch up, and ask them if there is a specific reducer required. I cant really tell you exactly what reducer, without the brand, type, and other info. ATMDC 01-18-2005, 11:38 PM hey when thinning paint for airbrushing, about what consistancy of the paint am i looking for? or what helpful measuring techniques may any of you have for thinning paint? thanks! GTmike400 01-19-2005, 08:24 AM Usually Around the consistency of milk. Like I said, its hard to tell without knowing the brand and reducer used. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
