the only way to replace the blubs u have to remove the whole grilll assembly . Then u will be able to remove the headlight assembly .

Assuming this is a C/K body style there is only two screws to remove to access the headlights. Under the hood is two openings where there is two long screws with hex heads that look like they would be for adjusting the lights. Remove those two screws and the headlight assembly will slide right out. You don't have to remove the grill or anything else besides those two screws. If it is not the C/K style then I don't know, But I don't think the new body style Tahoe was until 2000.

yes it is the C/K body style, and i tried removing the two hex screws but the one closest to the side will not come out on either of the lights. I can remove one and the headlight will half way slide out, but the other screw that won't come out holds it in there still, what can i do to remove it? I think that it's stripped.

Is it stripped or is it just that tight ?? You may have to remove the grill and spray some penetrating oil on it and try again or get a vise grip on it closer to the base to better apply the force. If it is stripped out you may need the headlight mounting bracket. You can remove the grill and remove the 4 bolts that hold the whole headlight assembly in. Yoy can then replace the bulb and put it back together and the headlights will still be adjusted as long as you don't turn those. Other than that I don't know what to tell you.
