stalls.

on occasion... my 98, after backing out of spot on incline... will stall immediatly after shifting to drive. what's up? and check engine light is on. it blinks when i accelorate hard or on steep inclines. i suspect fuel injection build up... as i just replaced the fuel filter... and it's still "dragging" up hills.

Re: stalls.

If you know someone with a code scanner, have them scan your car for the trouble codes. If not, autozone does it for free. That will help in your diagnosis of your problem.

What engine do you have? There are several things that can cause stalling, but getting the codes will be a good start.

A vacuum leak, or bad intake manifold gaskets are a big problem with lumina's, but that's just a guess.
