voltage

I recently put a thread up about an intake manifold gasket, and after checking the vacuum my motor has healthy vacuum. But, after I got out the dmm and checked resistences/voltages on the pcv, and iac i found the harness voltage to the iac is 3.76V/770ohms for the valve. This definitly tells me the valve is bad , but the harness voltage is supposed to be between 10.5 and 12.5. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: voltage

does your meter have rms? if it does check the computer ground. The computer itself should only allow so much power to open the balve so much to allow enough air in to run normal. i would think the voltage could be anywhere between 1 and 12v depending on the cercumstances.
