Re: Rockford

nice equipment.. you gotta tune it though.. make sure that your speakers are nice and tight (if its sealed make sure that when you push the cone down the come up VERY slowly) if you want any more advice on getting the best sound, im more than happy to give it. you might want some tweeters in your dash and a four channel amp to drive your interiors

Re: Rockford

alpine is good stuff, you want to custom shape your sound.. the pioneer presets are garbage man.. 4 channel amp, 100w per channel would be good, and it would give you better qaulity sound, because you wouldnt be using your head unit to power your speakers, which will prolong the life of your head unit, if you decide to get tweeters, you can use the speaker level output of your head unit to drive your tweets..now for setting it up, make sure that your amp is bridged and there are 2 wires going from each speaker to the amp.. meeting at the same bridged output of your amp. to tune your radio, press audio untill you get to where you can customize your sound settings, put it on like 4 mid, 5 high, -3 low.. now press and hold the audio button untill you get a funky lookin screen with frequencys on it, you want it to be at 160(push up on the selector thingy to get it towhatever it is), then press audio again and select where you like the sound to be, then audio again to where you like it.. but for bass, you want to be able to take it out of your surround speakers and use your amp to give it to your sub.. so you can turn it up without distorting your interiors.

Re: Rockford

3000 bucks?? dang.. i guess thats like 2 g's american? yeah.. i think if you would have shopped around you could have got a better deal. you should turn it up as loud as you can on a dynamic song, to see if it distorts at all.. try "bass mechanik" its good stuff

Re: Rockford

You could run a passive crossover to the front speakers and tweets of you get them. These will supply the fron speakers with mid-range and treble for the tweets, will sound better. Also a powered qraphic EQ will allow you to tune the sound independent of the deck and is much more easily done!!!
