I'm thinking of buying a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4X4. It has 68,000 miles on it. I've heard that Jeep's are notoriously unreliable. Are they really that unreliable and is there anything I should know about this particular type of Jeep?
If it has the 4.0 inline 6 you should be fine. They don't have the best rings and they tend to burn oil sooner than other cars, but if its been treated well it should do fine. Its reliability should be on par with other American cars of that year (which isn't saying much) but at least they're cheap to fix
In a word, no. Check it out at NADA or KBB. Comes up $3000-$4500 RETAIL, so I think you can do much better. Even if you add $500 value for the lift, its still a ripoff.
Nice looking Jeep!!! My uncle has one that looks exactly like that only black. As Curtis said it's not worth the money. Make them an offer close to blue book and don't worry about offending people with a low offer.
