I removed the transmission and clutch assembly after I towed the car home because the clutch was slipping severely when accelerating. It would only grab at idle. It was working fine before this 5 mile voyage. The flywheel is a two part rig that I have never seen. The aft disc moves one direction but appears to lock the other. Is this normal. Is there some test I should do? The clutch smelled bad but did not look that bad. Small pieces broke off when I removed. Maybe bad pressure plate?
