98 200sx SE-R swap question_SONiCBOOM_ 01-09-2005, 12:23 AM I have a 1998 200sx SE-R and i found a GTI-R motor with ECU and wiring harness... I have looked online but i haven't really found anything on doing the swap with the 2.0L engine. Will the ECU work correctly? Will the intercooler fit under my stock hood? What else will i need? I have been told that it's pretty much drop in... 200SXGTi-R 01-10-2005, 11:03 AM i did this swap myself. you will need either the Gti-r ECU or a 200SX 95-97 Ecu and send it to jim wolf to program for 444cc injectors and MAF. i recomend getting the Z32 300zx MAF and keep your 98 wiring harness. the top mount will fit under the hood if you cut the frame (hood skeleton support). i also recomend a fuel pump upgrade walbro 255lph Hp. everything else is drop in... some clips from the 98 harness wont go anywhere on the Gtir but thats ok. use back the coolant sensor and sending unit from the 98 motor and the idle air control motor at tthe back of the intake manifold. any questions email me at mrjoegrind@aol.com 200SXGTi-R 01-10-2005, 11:06 AM 200SXGTi-R 01-10-2005, 11:10 AM this is a fun swap i tell you. i ran 12.80 @ 110mph on 15psi boost with falzen azenis Drag radials. only thing done was a fidanza flywheel. could go even faster...but had pump gas and couldnt turn up the boost any more and had traction problem at 15psi. so you get some slicks, and race gas, at 20psi should be low low 12s maybe 11.99 if you drive the balls of it with alittle more boost. i dont know if anyone broke 11s with a stock gtir but i am sure it can be done. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
