My GF has a 96 accord lx v6 and the tach works fine at times and then it will start bouncing like a wire is loose and then making a connection. Anyone have this problem too? Is this something that goes wrong with them?

I have that same exact problem with my 91 accord. I have been told two things: either the pick-ups in the distributor or the TPS. I'm going to replace the TPS since that is the cheaper of the two and see if that works. I'll let you know.
