camshaft qwestion

I recently got ahold of a crane cam for a smallblock.
The numbers on the cam are SSH320nc
I miked and calculated the lift to be .480 to .495
Does anybody have actual specs for this cam?
Crane doesn't seem to have a listing for this.
What engine mods are required to use this cam? I want
to use it in a 73 340 dart auto with 3.55 pos.
car is primarly a show car with occasional shots down
the track.

You need to find out what the duration is on that cam. If it is much more than 270 you probably won't like it with the 3.55 gear, especially if you have a stock converter.

Re: camshaft qwestion

Well, the car already has a 2800 stall converter
in it. I also have a set of 30 over 11to1 pistons
I can get installed. I'm just a little afraid it
wouldn't be very street friendly,,,just a little...
I guess springtime will tell.

Re: camshaft qwestion

I used a purple shaft 484 lift 284 duration in my '70 Duster but it also had a 10" TCI Street Fighter converter and 4.10 gears. Scared the mess out of alot of people with that car!

If you can get hold of a dial indicator and degree wheel you can measure the specs. on your own
