Blew it up today.........diegoaccord 01-06-2005, 06:15 PM 1. Lowered + 16 inches of packed snow last week = Bye OIL PAN. 2. No oil + 8000 RPM = Hello RODKNOCK. Well, it happened today. Knock like a motherfucker. That bitch wont even idle now without shutting off. At first it sounded like a simple valve tick, and then the engine kept jerking, as I made to an off ramp, that shit started knocking bad as hell. I got some thick oil additive, and a couple quarts. Made 50 miles home, so it completely sounds like ass. You can hear that metal on metal real good. Well, now I'll be driving my Fox Mustang, and in a good 2-3 weeks, I'll have a B16A in the coupe. Well, atleast I got my EG6 cluster in! snowman2005 01-06-2005, 06:57 PM so y u keep driving if u knew sometign was going bad in ur engine? jeffseby 01-08-2005, 08:07 PM well, by then the engine was alredy fuck anyway, he is getting a swap, and has a daily driver car, This is not a common story. CivicSpoon 01-10-2005, 01:24 AM You're not helping anyone with you pointless responses. And if you don't know how to take the caps lock off then you shouldn't even be using a computer. NOT SURE WHY YOUR GETTING PISSED ABOUT CAPS. CAPS IS MY FAVORITE FONT AND BEEN WRITING IN CAPS SINCE I WAS KINDERGARTEN. IF YOU LOOK AT THE REPLY WINDOW YOU GOT MENU BUTTONS FOR FONT SIZE, COLOR, ETC..WHATS THE BIG DEAL? polacek 01-10-2005, 09:25 AM I think the title of this thread sums the conversation so far. I am wondering diegoaccord, how can snow take off an oil pan? Did you hit a curb? I always thought the plastic bumper would get ripped apart first before a metal oil pan. diegoaccord 01-10-2005, 08:36 PM it didn't get ripped, it got hit by solid ice snow, and had a gash in it. I don't hontoys avatar is damn funny. I can't look at that shit without laughing 5gcivic 01-10-2005, 09:16 PM So you drove it for a week with a busted oil pan and no oil? polacek 01-10-2005, 10:41 PM So the bumper got a gash or the oil pan? Ripping would be the bumper, not the oil pan unless your oil pan is made out of plastic. I am guessing the ice missed the bumper and took out the pan. Any damage to the brake lines, etc?
