I have a '98 regal, and I've just starting having what I think are electrical problems. If I'm driving at night, with the headlights on, and I turn on the fan (either vent or defrost), the headlights go off. The dash stays lit, and if I turn the fan off, the lights come back on. There was a couple times where if I was driving with enough RPM, and turned the fan to high, the lights went off for a sec, then came back. I think it might be an alternator-type of thing, but i'm not sure where to start. Can anybody offer any advice? I'll gladly answer any questions if you need to clarify any info.

It sounds as if it might be the Ignition switch harness that is causing all your problems.Hope this helps you out.
