98 tahoe brake controller wiring

I have a 98 tahoe and am hooking up an electronic brake controller. I have found on the convenience panel where to hook up for the brake switch indication. The thing I need to find is where the blue wire that leads to the back of the vehicle terminates on the front of the vehicle. Does anybody know where this wire starts at? is it in the cab someplace or in the engine compartment?

thanks

Re: 98 tahoe brake controller wiring

On my Sub it was in the engine compartment at the firewall below the steering shaft taped up. I'm assuming you have the factory tow package with the 7 pin plug at the rear bumper.
Good luck..........Steve

Re: 98 tahoe brake controller wiring

thanks for the input. It was right below the steering shaft. I'm not sure they could have put it in a worse place to find. Oh well, I found it now.
