Fitting clear lense headlights

Hello, i'm sure loads of you with pre 2003 model 206s have made the modification of fitting the great looking clear lense lights from the later models.
I've managed to get them in ok and wire up the headlights and indicators but not the main beam head lights. It looks like i need some kind of adapter. I took it to my dealer and asked if they could do it for me and they want 180 pounds to do it!! Crazy!

Any ideas how to get them working properly without resorting to these theives at the dealership??

Sorry, but if they take that price it must be some adaptor thats going to be paid for, unless they really are thieves.

Did you ever manage to get the lights properly working? I am about to do the same job, but as you said, i dont want to pay a dealership £180 to do it!

Can you let me know how you got on? Cheers!

hi, yes, did do it in the end but it was a bit of a ball ache. you need the wires/adapters from a facelift model and it was that that was difficult. in the end a scrappy ripped me off good and proper, charging me forty quid for all the wires and fitments from a facelift model when all i needed was one little fitment on each side. It's the little one that goes in the top section that you need from the new model. You cut off the H4 plug that when straight on the bulb in your old lights and attach the new one and bob's your uncle, it works.

i know that's a very quick description and i don't know where you're up to with removing all the lights and everything (i did all that pretty easily bit drove around for months with my lights half working and all over the shop!) so you can e.mail me if you like and tell me where you're at and i'll try and describe it porperly!

Cheers,

Andy

Hi,

Have a look on http://forum.peugeot206club.com/ and do a search for crystal headlights, there's loads of info on there and diagrams showing how to do the conversion.
