The Golf GTi 1.8T vs. the Civic Si right ? (What year Civic Si)

Well if it's based on these...the new Civic Si is really crap compared to the old Civic Si...and I think the Golf 1.8T can whoop up easily on the Civic Si hatch...and has a great aftermarket...nothing compared to the previous Si...but good enough

I don't know a whole lot about the GTI 1.8T, especially how it handles, but the 1.8T is a very good engine and the GTI is a good value with a lot of standard features. Still, I'd take the Civic Si. I don't quite trust Volkswagens for reliability, and the GTI is supposedly biased towards luxury rather than performance, which is a negative for me.

The Si Civic is basicly the Type R with a lot less hp.
