Body Control Module

I just got my 2000 Venture out of shop for Intake Gasket replacement. I must have been luckier than most because it only cost me $400. But now the key/door chime continues to go off after I have taken the keys out and open the door. Also, the driver side seat belt indicator will not turn off. Our mechanic suggested that it was proably the BCM, but that the dealer would have to replace it. Does anyone know if it could really be the BCM? I am hoping for just a fuse, but I was also hoping my coolant leak was just a hose!
