Tach

Hey I am posting this in here because people in the performance Forum seem to know wtf they are talking about.

I just bought an after market Tachometer. Now I am a little confused, there are four wires yah simple enough. I have a DIS car, now, do I try and find the control modul for the Car which I think is behind the glove box or is there a control modul for the ignition I am supposed to be looking for.

Re: Tach

hate to break it to you... but the sunbird... it's the same freaking car! The new cavalier is the same as the sunfire. The sunbird is the sunfires predosessor. Now look at the old cavy... 94 down... now look at the sunbird. Oh my the seem to be the same :P now if you can prove me wrong, go for it.

Re: Tach

I do happen to know this. It's kind of obvious! There is a Forum for Sunfires etc and as you have encountered there are differences and you are asking cavalier owners!!!!

Re: Tach

I know except the thing is, there is no Sunbird owners forum so this is the closest thing. Now how ever I got the tach installed and mounted, but.... it is showing only half the RPM it should be showing. Any ideas on this one?

How come it say Cavalier and there is a sunfire and although it's not stated sunbird forum. EG if a 200 Sunfire owner asked me where to get a bodykit I would say I don't know because I don't pay attention as I don't have nor plan to have a sunfire! Does that or does that not make sense? Methinks yes it do!

Re: Tach

well if you dont know where to get it... than don't answer the question and let someone that owns a sunfire or sunbird answer the question. You don't always have to give an answer.

There is a sunfire forum yes but if you notice the PERFORMANCE forum is the same as he said.
