Would like to motor swap

hi there i am a young kid and i am looking in to swaping out my 2.8 litre in my 85 s-10 blazer for a 350 and a turbo 350 tranny but still keep my four wheel drive is that possible. Also how hard is it to swap the motors out. should i change my rear end. Would it be better if i went strait axle front end or kept my independent front end. If I have more Q's I will post them but i could use a ton of help.

Yes, very possible, and it should keep you out of trouble for a full summer, plus you'll earn the respect of car buffs, and 4x4'rs all over. Just drive smart after you do all this work and you'll never loose that respect.

Look at the really nice 85 Blazer on this page, and he shows step by step directions on the project. Plus he is offering any advice that he can give.

I'm planing on a simular swap during the spring, but I'd do a few things different, like bye a written off full sized 4x4 truck, and use the complete engine, transmission, and transfer case.
Use aftermarket axles instead of dropping in a Ford rear end.

Then part out the full sized truck and you'll get a lot of your money back.

I pretty much re-built my blazer last summer, and now I'm kicking myself for just re-building the 2.8L

Good Luck, and have fun
