Okay, so this was.. I guess two weekends ago. I'm in my Integra GS-R, and I'm caravaning on 95 North in Massachusetts with my friends Jay and Dave. Dave is driving his 1.8 turbo 2002 VW GTI, and Jay is driving his dad's 2000 Porsche Carrera. Jay is actually a little more mellow most of the time behind the wheel than Dave and I, who traded a few high speed passes of each other (our cars are actually pretty evenly matched in terms of power and performance).

Anyway, so it's getting dark, and I am out in front. I notice a car with headlights that stick out from the ordinary headlights that you see on most cars today. At first I thought it was a Corvette, and then my second impression was that it was a Ferrari F40 (I saw one once on 84 West just outside of Hartford - I remember seeing those headlights in my rearview and thinking "'Vette," only to see him exit, and see to my great surprise that it was in fact one of the mightiest of all Ferraris!). I slowed down to get him closer, and as it turns out, it was an NSX!!! And the beauty of it is that Jay was right there with his Porsche, so the two of them went at it!! It was so awesome to see two exotic sports cars, both sporting about 300 horsepower (the NXS actually has just 290.. not that that's such a slouch), so like Dave and I, they were pretty evenly-matched. Dave and I did our best to keep up, but hey, we were simply outclassed. When we hit patches of heavier traffic, the four of us were able to catch up and cruise together.. until an open stretch enabled the 911 and NSX to take off again. Oh, how I wish this could have happened in a month or two, when I'll have all my new engine components installed, broken in, and ready to party!! Guess that will have to wait until the next time around.

Anyway, it was pretty cool. Not every day (hell, I doubt I'll get to see something this cool by chance even once a year!) you get to see a 911 and an NSX (ahem! and a GTI and a GS-R... ) go at it.

That's pretty cool. Sounds like a scene right out of Gone in 60 Seconds

I wish i could have had a piece of that NSX in my 89 toyota truck, it puts out about 120 hp on a good day, which it seldom has. gone in 60 seconds is my favorite movie, all the cars and angelina jolie! wow!

Hey, you're still beating my Escort's 96hp. :D:D

I'm saving up for a J-spec Mazda MX-3 2.5 V6 swap now though (200+ hp, weehee!!).
