high idle on 1982 323

recently purchased an 82 model 323.
my problem is that the engine idles at about 2500rpm,i`ve tried the
adjustment screw on the throttle body,it won`t screw down any further !
can anyone point me in the right direction ?

I would hazard to guess its the warm up air regulator and/or vacuum leaks.

Could this warm up air regulator be the same fellow that screams like hell when decelerating from above fifty or sixty in my 1986 325? I get quite a lot of performance to even consider vacuum leaks.
