Blown Head gasket

I had just taken my 99 Windstar into a local Ford dealership because it has started running pretty bad. After their diagnostic test they said I had a blown head gasket and that it would cost $3300.00. Does that sound right? That seems a little high or is that about how much it will cost?

Did you notice any engine coolant loss? Is the CEL on? Any idea what the codes are? I'd be suspicious of this diagnosis. Intake gaskets are MUCH more common on the 1999+ 3.8L. Not sure if I know of any head gasket issues on the 1999+
G/luck
