302 will it fittoppermansworld 12-31-2004, 04:36 PM I have found A 1989 f-250 with A EFI 302,5 spd transmision, and A manual shift transfercase will it all fit in A 91 ext cab 4wheel drive Ranger curently with A 4.0 5spd electric shift case? Will the hydrolic clutch hook up the same? Is there still room for the codensor in the front?Any help would be great.P.S. the reason I would go thru all this is I would love to put A snow plow on the Ranger for doing some store_n_locks with tight quarters I have A contract with,But I think it would drasticly reduce the life in the drive train. It already has 250,000 on the truck, but it still looks good. Please advise. TheRangerOfDanger 12-31-2004, 07:12 PM yes, it can be done, and you're very lucky to have the whole donor vehicle.... this 5.0 swap is done all the time, and has become a very common and reliable swap since there are so many aftermarket parts that cater to this swap. Advanced Adapters makes a kit to do this swap.... James Duff has some advice too... http://www.jamesduff.com/broncoII/v8conversion.html check this out also... http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/index.htm scroll down to the "Engine Swapas" heading on the very left, and check out '5.0 Liter swap' and 'AA v8 Conversion' Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
