90 chev green male wire by distributorroonie 12-31-2004, 12:14 AM My 90 chev 1/2 ton has a green wire with a plug type end that is comming out of the large wiring harness behind the distributor.it is a male end that obviously belongs somewhere.Also i was told that the brown wire for timing the engine was in this area but after looking in the large harness i cannot find it.ANY HELP?thanks amac209 01-02-2005, 09:58 PM probably for the oil pressure sender. it's right next to the distributor fixnfly 01-03-2005, 06:27 AM The brown wire you're looking for is behind the black plastic relay cover on the right side of the firewall.This wire gets disconnected when setting the timing. roonie 01-03-2005, 08:46 PM oh i was told it was in the black coil harness so i guess i was looking for the wire in the wrong place. so do you know,fixnfly,what the green wire is that is protruding from the black wire protector behind the dist? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
