Wink 94 Escort all crank, no start

She died while I was driving. I have replaced the fuel filter and the timing belt is only a year old. I am getting gas and air to the engine and fire out of the plugs. It is cranking fine but doesn't even try to start. The fuses are also fine. My dad has been a backyard mechanic for 25 years and he is scratching his head on this one. Any ideas? Also, the car just broke 100,000 miles within the last month. Thanks in advance for any help

Well, even though the timing belt was replaced only a year and a half ago, it was broken again. Apparently the mechanic who did it only replaced the belt and not the tensioner pulley. The old pulley wore down the new belt. Bummer! Just wanted to let everyone know...
