Cost of turbo depends on the kind of car, what kind of kit (Stage 1, 2, etc). The stage 3 kit for my 01 accord is $4500. That's everything with the fuel management, injectors, turbo timer, etc.

I don't think regular mechanic would know how to hook everything up, nor I wouldn't go to one. I live in Boston, MA & I would take my car to a place called T3 Motorsports. Call around there should be plenty of placed that can do it. get the yellow pages.

Painting a car depends on the quality, you could go to a place like Macco and get a paint job for like $300, but don't expect it to last too long I don't think that they use primer on their cars. A friend of mine got his car painted at Macco, it looked real good though, besides the fact that they forgot to paint the inside of the mirror near the window, but only one winter it took to eat the paint away. Good one I wouls about $1000-$1200.

Just keep the car looking like a junker, then do a nice b16 or b18c1 swap, called a sleeper man.
