Car won't start...1984 533imiksgtx 12-27-2004, 10:55 PM Geeesh car wouldn't start...so put in a new coil and it runs great... then, the clutch is acting up..then we replace the master and slave cylinders and it works better than ever...so I am all excited that the car will be good to go..now... it started to lope like it had a cam or a terrible vacuum leak..car had basically no power when going through the rpm range, but would seem to clear out once in awhile and provide the power it should..then back to nothing...figured, plugs or something...well before I could even check that..the car died... Filled it up to full with gas, drove it 20 miles, turned it off..then 8 hours later drove it another 30 miles....shut it off...waited 6 hours while at work...and came out to start it and nothing, just cranks and cranks, and no starting...it sat in the cold for 2 days..battery was still full of juice so I could keep trying, finally on the 3rd day I had it towed by my buddy into his storage building and it was a little warmer inside..it sat for 3 or so days in there and tried to start it today..it fired up...after a few cranks...and ran still loping...like usual, then when it was ready to be driven..put it in first and let out the clutch and just died...and then tried to start it again..and just cranks...if anyone can help me out..I would greatly appreciate it..I am going insane, this is my "reliable" winter car that is supposed to make it through the cold and bad weather..all that it has given me is headaches and walking to and from work in singe digit weather..if I didn't like the car so much I would beat it silly...
