Thumbs up Just got a 97 Jetta

I just bought a 97 Jetta that I'm going to start working on to turn it from stock to eye candy. I'm looking for some wheels and I wanted to put on a set off the 2000-2001 jetta , but they are 5 lug, that sucks. I was wondering if there is something that I can buy so i can run 5 lug on a 4 lug? Or is anyone has VW or other type of wheels that are 4 lug and with tires let me know.

thanks,

Zak

Unhappy

I wish I could tell you differently. Each spoke supplies an important amount of torque designed specifically for that car. If you had 5, the torque wouldnt be balanced. And they also do not make anything in the way of a conversion short of axel end replacement... but you dont want to spend that kind of money do you? If you do, send it to Jetta. Its all right in the http://www.Overboost.com manual... proper security of rims on spokes. My advice is to buy a 4 spoke rim, they make nice 4 spokes... heres a pic of some nice 17s from F and the F.

No, there is no 5x100 -> 4x100 adapter available.
If you find a beat up VR6, you can just take what you need; axles, spindles, joints, control arms, hubs etc.

And HayaiCivic, the number of spokes doesn't mean "Scheisse".

If he's willing to go trough the trouble of fitting 5x100 wheels to his car, he's certainly not cheap.

There is 4 into 5lug conversions you can buy. It involves installing new brakes, hubs, spindles front and rear.
