Re: Mivec???

What does the acronym Mivec mean? I know it must be the same as VTEC, but what do the letters mean?

MIVEC stands for Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing-and-lift Electronic Control and I'm pretty sure it kicks in at 3500rpm. If you drive in 2nd gear and slowly increase your speed, you can hear the valves go crazy at 3500rpms.

Re: Mivec???

I don't have a Mitsu so i wouldn't know, but my Honda has a low VTEC chip that engages on 3/4 throttle over 2500rpm.
