2000 headligh removal

im new on here and i am trying to take off my wifes headlamps to put new bulbs in. i cant get tha dam thing off!!. i took the 2 bolts off but it dont wanna come out. it looks like the side lamp doesnt want to move but the headlight is ready to come out. the haynes manuel said it comes right out but it aint. help

GM says:

Remove the headlamp assembly bolts.
Pull the headlamp assembly upward and outward to remove

Pop the side blinker out... then it will come right out, take a long flat head screwdriver and pop out the side blinker there is a spot looks like a clip you have to pry one way. it is hard to describe. but you cant miss it
