Does anyone know how to remove the tail lights from a 2001 rav4?

anyone??? man this is driving me crazy how are you supposed to change a burned out brake light?

There are two small doors one each side that open and allow access to the bulbs. To remove the taillights there are four nuts on long studs; but to get to all of them you need to remove the plastic panels from the rear doors to the very back door. I could not find custom taillights only taillight covers. So I removed the taillights and painted them with a transparent black RC car paint and a clear coat.
