99 gmc sierra automatic door locks at 15mph

I have a 99 GMC Sierra 1500 and the doors lock at 15 mph automatically, the owners manual does not give instructions on how to bypass this or make it stop. I tried the directions that come with a 2001 GMC but they do not work on a 99. I also have to unlock the doors by pushing the button otherwise they stay locked even if you turn the ignition off, is this correct or is something wrong. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I think you may have to take it to a dealer for BCM reprogramming to get rid of the auto lock

Your right. I bought my 99 GMC new and the dealer said he would change the BCM one time. If you take it to the dealer they can change it for you. How much I dont know. Your locks are locking just like mine.
