engine kept dieing

Today it was about -10 or -15 degrees outside in WI. I drove about 15 minutes on the highway then got off on an exit. I stopped at a stop light and when the light turned green, I stepped on the gas and the engine just stopped and check engine light went on. I restarted the car fine and drove for a few blocks. I missed my turn so I pulled into a driveway and backed out. I went about 10 feet then the engine died again, so I drifted the car to the side of the road. I let the engine run for about 10-15 minutes and made it home fine.
When the engine died, I restarted and the engine sounded perfectly normal. I opened the hood and had my wife rev the engine and it also sounded fine.
Does anybody know what could be my problem? My car is a 98 camry with about 78000 miles.

Please help!

Check this site for EGR valve problems. There is a good chance that your problems relates to carbon deposits in the EGR valve. Check this site...., It's a fairly common and simple problem. Good look. You can chekck the EGR valve location in one of the pictures in my gallery

If it runs ok down the highway, but it idles badly and cuts out, etc, then it's real possible it's your EGR. Try rapping it with a hammer to see if you can get it to unstick. If you can, it works like magic, until the next time it sticks.
