Sicne you have the SOHC I'm assuming it's the 1.6L. The 1.6L does not have adjustable timing. The following link will take you to the pages I scanned on how to change your timing belt. That's the only thing I could find in the entire shop manual on how to adjust/set the timing on the 1.6L. The 2.0L requires a special timing/data tool.
