350 engine

wanting to know if there is a difference in lifters and push rods in pre 85 to post 85 chevy 350,what i am trying to do is put the heads ,lifters and push rods off a pre 85 350 on a post 85 350 short block

85 is not the changeover year for the small block it is in 87. You should not be able to changeover the pushrods because that is the year they changed over to roller cams. Roller lifters require shorter pushrods in order to work.
