School me on corvettes

Hey guys, I have become extremely interested in Corvettes, but im on a budget. I saw a 1985 corvette in the autotrader for 4k. I dont really care about if it runs good because I was thinking about swapping a crate motor in it. Does anybody know what swap would be the best and if the corvette would be a good candidate for a ZZ4? Also, if anyone has links to a swap info page, I would greatly appreciate it! I love your cars!

Try corvetteforum.com, and look through the C4 stuff. A lot of knowledgable people there.
