door poppers/shaved handlesthreethirteen 03-04-2002, 11:49 AM has anyone done this? i havent seen too many shaved handle kits on peoples cars and i wonder just how it works...not like mechanically how it works but more like..does it work? like i live in rhode island and i dont want some december morning to not be able to get into my car because the popper is frozen or some crap. i found a kit for like 200bux, and i just thought it was pretty sweet. having an rs and all i dont have the damned auto door locks (ghetto ride as i call it). but i just want some personal feedback on these things before i get stranded somewhere and have to climb in my trunk door. markpa 03-04-2002, 12:05 PM 200 bucks that must be a real cheap kit, I would suggest spend atleast 500 for the kit plus installation, as i m aware the differences in price depend on the solenoid push power , so the more you spend the less theres a chance of your doors being unable to open in the winter. Take a look at this kit http://www.autoloc.com/detail.lasso?itemid=svpro5a 92AccordCoupe 03-04-2002, 07:10 PM don't get a kit that pushes too hard cuz you'll pop your door into the car next to you and mess up both cars. also, check your local laws because i'm pretty sure shaving your door handles is illegal in most states except for show cars. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
