Import Disaster
i don't know if you guys around the globe get this commercial or not, but i was watching much music here in canada, and thena commercial comes on...it has like 4 pimped cars, and i'm thinkin ot myself, F&F 2? Then it has some car with hydro's...which i hate...but whatever, then there is a huge crowd and these guys run over to see what's going on...and it's a pop-tart doin the hydro thing with underbody neons.... it's shit like this that makes me embarrased to do up my honda... i don't know who gave permission for kellogs to disgrace the import culture, but i definitely wouldn't give my "O-TAY" to that shit....or....it could be that i'm partial to toaster struddles.... Sorry, i just ahd to get this off my chest...
Mike
Has anyone else seen this?

Well on a marketing standpoint it is really easy to see why they did that, They feel as if the import scene is very big and if you want to appeal to your consumers you have to relate to them, so by putting there name in with the cars they hope that you'll go out and eat a pop-tart while driving in your car, I personally wouldn't because it would get all those little crumbs in your ride.

The thing about it that makes me so mad (and why i started this thread) is that from now on, stang and maro owners are going to bash import owners because of that damn breakfast pastry. I don't see how they feel they have the right to sell out a scene they know nothing about... and secondly...no import should have hydros...no exceptions... leave that to cadilacs or whatever else the hell they use

the commercial worked
I would have to say that the commercial reached it's objective...to get their target audience to talk about the product. You remembered the commercial, what the product was, and you're telling all of your friends, no doubt. That's what the advertising community would call a "successful commercial." Well done. :evillaugh:

those diabolical bastards...sitting their enjoying their strawberry toaster pastry with cream cheese topping...laughin' at us from their high rise building window office, over looking their beamers and benz's..... I'll never eat a pop-tart again...that's my protest... they may take our scene, but they may never take OUR BREAKFAST...wow...i'm lame....
