75 super conv. top question

Bought a 75 superbeetle conv. from a guy in GA. who had it sitting for over 2 years. He bought it from someone who had it sit for over 3 tears, etc. Have just begun rebuild and when looking at the top, there is a wooden bow between the body and the top at the back of the car. It appears cracked and rotten. In looking to replace all the bows and top, none of the dealers show a wood bow here for this year. Should this year have a wood bow in this place? It doesn't really seem to fit! Any thoughts?
