Anybody else heard of or seen this exhuast leak. My pathy is an 03 with about 19,000 miles on it. I could hear what sounded like an exhaust leak, so i crawled under to check it out. Both Cats are leaking, enough that i can feel the exhaust gas pulse agains my hand holding it about 2-3 inches from the cat. The leaks are at the seams running along the outboard edge of the converter. Any info is appreciated!

in the center of the Cat, facing the outside of the vehicle, you can feel air when it is running.
I had 1 guy look at it, he said it should be under warranty because I am under 50,000 and it is part of the exhaust control system.
SO i take it to a dealership, they say no, i have a leak in my pipe AFTER the Cat, so it is not under warranty. They say "Nissan has a patch out for this that is $80" and all total they will charge my $200 to fix it.
I talked to the guy who looked at it first and he has no clue how they decided that the Cat was fine and the pipe was what was messed up.
I am taking it into a different dealership in the morning and will post what they tell me.

yep, same thing on mine, they patched them. no noise anymore!

I am also having a simular problem.....I thought it was the "cats", but it sounds like it could be what your talking about.

Is the exhaust expansion pipes right under the front doors....and if those are exhaust expansion pipes, where the hell are the cats
