1995 Sunfire wiper problems

My wipers work just fine but when I turn them off they park in a straight up postion. Could this be the wiper motor going out?

resolution?

Hey Dale,
Have you figured out this wiper problem yet? I have a '96 Cavalier doing the same thing. I figured it was a worn relay, but, apparently these don't have relays. It's either the motor, the switch, or a circuit board that plugs into the top of the motor. These are all the electronic parts available for this system. I don't want to start buying them one at at time and wind-up buying all three because it will undoubtedly be the last piece I buy that fixes it.

And Classicrocjunkie,
forgive me if I'm out of line here, I'm new to this forum, but why would you respond with such a useless answer? Unless you were being sarcastic and you already know that it is definitely the motor. Just curious.

Yes it was a sarcastic remark.. I usually make them to people on subjects that have been posted not to long ago.. Posting the same subject over and over again is like reading a childrens books and get extremly annoying! Since people don't like to search, it opens them up to be critisized. Read the rules at the top of the page and you should understand why.

Took me 10 secs to find this... I cannot stand lazyness when it come to searching.

Thanks, Classic,
That's exactly what I was looking for. My searches didn't turn up that post, but, as I said, I'm new to this forum thing and am still learning my way around the board. Thanks again!!
